2015 Coachella

2015 Coachella

This year’s Coachella was memorable for me in that it was the first time I was shoot and see AC/DC. AC/DC was the quintessential rock band of my childhood, and for some reason, the thought of seeing them play a set of greatest hits seemed almost impossible. But this year getting to see and shoot them had me stoked. It was probably the best set I’ve documented. Not much of my childhood I hang on to, but listening to AC/DC as a child is still the same as it is for me at 30. A special night that was.

Other highlights of the weekend for me included Brand New, FKA Twigs, Alt J, and being able to get crafty while shooting the art of Coachella. Don’t have a tripod? Shit, just get a hat, a water bottle and have a large, stable trash can handy. And voila, you have a tripod capable of being the staple for your long-exposure shots.
